Hope Capital Property Finance has appointed two new solicitor firms to expand its dual legal representation offering in Scotland, enhancing its ability to deliver fast completions and cost efficiencies for brokers and borrowers.

In response to growing demand in Scotland and to further streamline transactions, Hope Capital Property Finance has appointed Aberdein Considine and Carters.

This new offering follows enhancements to Hope Capital's residential bridging product Dual+ earlier this month, including an increased dual legal representation threshold of £1 million and instant valuations at enquiry stage.

Designed for borrowers requiring a quicker completion, Dual+ streamlines the journey by completing key underwriting steps, including the valuation, when it reaches the sales department, supported by Hope Capital’s dedicated packaging team.

The advantage of utilising dual legal representation is the more streamlined legal process - using the same solicitor for the transaction delivers faster turnaround times and cost savings for the borrower.

This latest benefit follows the expansion of Hope Capital's no upfront legal undertaking offering to properties in Scotland last year.

Leanne Warrender, partner at Aberdein Considine, said: “We are delighted to be appointed by Hope Capital Property Finance as a dual legal representation partner in Scotland. Hope Capital has built a strong reputation for delivering fast, flexible and transparent funding solutions, and this enhanced approach will help make the legal process even more efficient for brokers and borrowers. We look forward to developing our relationship with the Hope Capital team and supporting the continued growth of its Scottish lending proposition.”

Oliver Craig, director at Carters, commented: "We are delighted to have been appointed by Hope Capital Property Finance as a dual legal representation partner in Scotland. This is an innovative model that delivers real, tangible benefits for brokers and borrowers - faster completions, reduced costs, and a more streamlined transaction process from start to finish. Hope Capital has a proven track record of lending in Scotland, and we share their commitment to delivering speed, flexibility, and an exceptional level of service. We look forward to working closely with the team to help ensure Scottish borrowers can access finance as quickly and efficiently as possible."

Laura Carr, director of underwriting, compliance and stakeholder relations at Hope Capital Property Finance, added: “We’ve been proudly operating in Scotland since 2018 and understand what it takes to get deals completed efficiently. Funding in Scotland requires a lender with the right expertise, and this enhancement to our offering, alongside our partnerships with Aberdein Considine and Carters reinforces our commitment to delivering speed, flexibility, and transparency to brokers and borrowers alike.”
