Untangled, the specialist lender in legal finance, including probate, inheritance and family law lending, has announced the appointment of Mark Harrison to the position of chief commercial officer.

Mark has held senior sales positions for over three decades, including roles at Bank of Scotland, Merrill Lynch, GE Capital, Hamilton Greig and Stretton Capital. His most recent role was managing director at Breeze Capital.

His role at Untangled will include the responsibility of sales & distribution across all core product areas.

Mark’s appointment follows the lenders’ recent rebrand to Untangled from Ampla Finance.

Mark Harrison said: "The recent rebrand demonstrates the ambition and potential of Untangled, and so I am delighted to be joining such a talented team at such an exciting time.

"The bridging finance sector has lagged behind the rest of the property lending sector in terms of the adoption of technology, and so I look forward to banging the drum about our proposition combining market-leading tech backed by excellent people and processes."

Peter Beaumont, chief executive officer at Untangled, added: "Attracting such a name as Mark in the sector is a testament to the lender that we have built, and Mark’s experience, knowledge and contacts will give us an unrivalled edge as we start to build awareness of the Untangled brand and proposition.

"I am delighted to welcome Mark to the Untangled executive team to deliver our distribution strategy and work with our key intermediary partners to widen our distribution footprint. I look forward to working with him over the coming months and years."
