Cynergy Bank has announced that it has appointed John Hughes as relationship director within its origination team, further strengthening the Bank's commitment to supporting property developers and investors across the South West, South Wales and Midlands.
John joins Cynergy Bank from Shawbrook Bank, where he was responsible for development finance origination across the South West and South Wales. He has completed more than £400 million of development facilities, supporting the delivery of over 1,000 new homes across the UK.
Based in the South West, John will originate and manage development finance relationships across the region and into Birmingham and the Midlands.
John's appointment forms part of Cynergy Bank's wider national growth strategy. The Bank continues to invest in experienced relationship directors across key regions, enabling customers and introducers to work directly with senior decision-makers.
John Hughes said: "I'm delighted to be joining Cynergy Bank at such an exciting stage of its growth journey. The Bank has built a strong reputation for supporting experienced developers with a relationship-led approach and a willingness to understand complex opportunities.
"There is significant potential across the South West, South Wales and Midlands, and I look forward to helping clients bring forward high-quality developments that meet the needs of their local communities."
Andy Horner, executive director at Cynergy Bank, added: "John brings a wealth of development finance experience and an excellent reputation within the market. As we continue to grow our real estate lending business nationally, having senior professionals based within the regions they serve is a key differentiator for us.
