"Axis Bank’s plans to grow buy-to-let lending are really exciting and I’m looking forward to playing my part in developing the business."

Spencer Gale will manage and provide support to a panel of key distributor partners in London and the South East and brings with him over 16 years of intermediary sales experience.

His last role was with specialist lender Magellan Homeloans where he was a regional sales manager. Prior to this he worked with intermediaries in various sales roles for GE Money and HFC Bank.

Last week, Axis appointed former Magellan sales director, Jason Neale, as its new head of buy-to-let business.

Axis Bank launched into the UK market in 2013 and is the London-based subsidiary of India's third largest private sector bank. Its buy-to-let range is aimed at professional landlords and was introduced in 2015.

Jason Neale commented: "I’m delighted Spencer has joined the team and have no doubt he will play an important role as we increase the Bank's market presence.

"He is hugely experienced in our sector and has an excellent track record of working with key intermediary partners, who I know value the contribution he makes to their business."

Spencer Gale added: “Axis Bank’s plans to grow buy-to-let lending are really exciting and I’m looking forward to playing my part in developing the business. I’m passionate about helping mortgage businesses grow and develop so having the Axis Bank buy-to-let proposition will ensure I can add real value to our partner relationships."
