Billie joined Brightstar as a teenager on a short placement in 2021 and quickly found her stride in specialist lending. She built her own “Bible” of underwriting guides and legal checklists, rose from temporary administrator to senior case manager and team leader, and in 2025 stepped up to broker at Sirius Finance. Today she specialises in high-net-worth commercial funding across healthcare and hospitality, pairing technical range with a calm, client-first style.
"I was the youngest employee at Brightstar, but my commitment and appetite to learn saw me progress quickly"
Specialist finance was a deliberate choice for Billie - the pace and problem-solving of bridging, development and commercial funding grabbed her from day one of a summer internship at Brightstar. She immersed herself in the detail and built underwriting checklists, legal glossaries and process maps that accelerated her learning.
After this, progress came quickly. Administrator became case manager, then senior case manager and team leader. She managed high-value, multi-party cases, coached new starters and built trusted relationships with lenders, solicitors, valuers and introducer - and in 2024 alone she stewarded 117 applications delivering more than £3.3m net income, earned 48 five-star Trustpilot reviews and rolled out training/process guides that cut short-term loan turnarounds by 27.7% and commercial term timescales by 30.5%.
Billie’s curiosity extends beyond the desk. She co-led the Group’s Young Learner Programme, ran mock interviews in schools, engaged with Women in Finance initiatives and became the first woman (and only the second person in the Group) to achieve the CPSP qualification.
In 2025 she made Brightstar Group history by moving directly from sales support into a broker seat at Sirius. Now based in the City, she structures bespoke, multi-product solutions - blending bridging, development, term debt and cash-flow facilities - and keeps the experience human, transparent and fast.
